The Chiefs have finalized a trade that wlll send cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, a source confirmed to The Star on Friday.
The trade concludes Peters’ three-year run in Kansas City, which was filled with multiple highs — his two Pro Bowl and All-Pro appearances — and lows, most of which occurred during a tumultuous 2017 season in which he recorded 46 tackles, five interceptions and nine passes defensed.
Peters remained the Chiefs’ best cornerback last season, but he failed to make a Pro Bowl for the first time in his career and found himself at the epicenter of turmoil related to his pregame protests and sometime-explosive temperament.
