KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs wasted little time getting their newest player, linebacker Sio Moore, involved at practice. Moore, who signed with the Chiefs last week during their bye, got some snaps with the starting defense in practice on Monday.
That’s an unusual move for a guy fresh off the bus, so to speak. But it speaks to the Chiefs’ need for pass rush help that they gave Moore an immediate look.
“He has some natural rush ability that’s valuable,’’ defensive coordinator Bob Sutton said.
Moore had 7.5 sacks in his two seasons with the Raiders in 2013 and 2014.
