This game was about more than football.

Just nine months removed from a cancer diagnosis, Eric Berry returned to the field on Saturday night for the Chiefs defense. In an emotional moment just seconds before kickoff, Berry ran over to his mother, Carol, who was on the sideline, and hugged her before joining his teammates.

Berry spoke after the game to the media about how much Saturday night meant to him with everything that he’s been through.
