In the preseason finale, the Chiefs’ starting offense exploded out of the gate for two touchdowns on the only two possessions they were in the game for. While the defense wasn’t perfect, there were many highlight plays made by the starters and the reserves. Overall, it was more exciting than the typical exhibition.
Offense
While quarterback Patrick Mahomes looked uncomfortable in preseason Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals, it was the exact opposite this week; he made that clear on his first two throws of the game. The first was a beautiful, side-arm spiral on the move to tight end Travis Kelce, followed by a perfectly accurate go-route to Tyreek Hill for a score.
