On Aug. 1, the Kansas City Chiefs will have their first official team practice. It is something of a holiday for those who follow the men in red and yellow, knowing that hope is renewed and a Lombardi Trophy is up for grabs.
Some years, it is pretty obvious that the team has no chance of competing. When the Chiefs were led by men like Steve Fuller, Todd Blackledge, Matt Cassel and others of a similar ilk, there was no legitimate shot of reaching the Super Bowl. In 2015, there is no such pessimism.
Kansas City enters the campaign with one of its best rosters in franchise history.
