On Tuesday, Chiefs Ambassadors Keith Cash and Walter White and some of the team’s current tight ends made a visit to pediatrics patients at The University of Kansas Hospital (TUKH), inspiring and giving hope to kids fighting battles throughout the wing.
Jaime Milnes, a nurse manager of pediatrics at TUKH, explained that Chiefs visits serve as a remedy for patients by taking their mind off of their conditions.
“The kids are here because they're sick or they have something going on. If they focus on that it can be a downer or depressing for them,” Milnes said.
