KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs tight end Demetrius Harris was arrested Tuesday in Bates County, Mo., for felony possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The Chiefs had no immediate comment.
According to Missouri statutes, possession of at least 35 grams, or slightly less than 1.25 ounces, of marijuana is a felony. The maximum penalty is seven years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Harris, 25, joined the Chiefs as an undrafted rookie in 2013 after he played basketball but not football in college at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
