Reinforcements for the Chiefs’ pass rush are on the way, as outside linebacker Tamba Hali returned to practice Thursday.
Still, it’s unclear when Hali — who remains on the physically-unable-to-perform list — will play. To promote Hali to the 53-man roster, the Chiefs will need to create a roster spot. The Chiefs, who face the Dallas Cowboys at 3:25 p.m. Sunday at AT&T Stadium, have until Nov. 23 to officially do so, lest Hali sit for the rest of the season.
Hali, 33, stands to help a pass rush that ranks 14th in the league in sacks.
