ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Offensive coordinator Doug Pederson is looking for signs of progress from the Kansas City Chiefs' passing game, and those aren’t evident every day. They certainly weren’t in last week’s preseason game in Arizona, where quarterback Alex Smith passed for just 42 yards and threw a costly interception in his one quarter of play.
