Adam Caplan is reporting that the Chiefs are signing former Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar to a one-year contract on Friday.
The Chiefs brought Escobar in a for a visit earlier in the day, and it appears as though they felt he was a good addition to their roster.
Escobar, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $4.21 million rookie contract with the Cowboys and is testing the open market for the first time in his career.
In 2016, Escobar appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and caught four passes for 30 yards receiving and one touchdown.
