On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs finalized four signings via the NFL’s transaction report. All of them were players who tried out with the team during rookie minicamp. It appears that on Friday, the Chiefs signed another tryout player.
Jody Fortson is a 6-foot-4, 226-pound tight end who played college football at Valdosta State University. It’s worth noting that the school lists his name as “Joe” Fortson.
In nine games played in 2018, the 23-year-old Fortson had 14 catches for 217 yards and three touchdowns. After transferring from Erie Community College, Fortson went on to help the Blazers win the 2018 Division II national championship.
