Chiefs sign running back who tried out at rookie minicamp

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed at least one of their 40 tryout players from this past weekend’s rookie minicamp, according to the player himself.

Marcus Marshall is a 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back who played college football at James Madison University. In two years and 24 games at JMU, Marshall had 221 carries for 1,296 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also added 22 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Marshall, 22, transferred to JMU after spending two seasons at Georgia Tech, where he led the Yellow Jackets in rushing during both seasons.
