On Monday morning, we learned that Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne — at first reported only to have ankle soreness after the Chiefs’ 27-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday — actually suffered a fractured ankle in the game. Noted surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson will perform surgery on Henne’s ankle in Green Bay on Tuesday.
Based on Andy Reid’s history in Kansas City, we would expect that the Chiefs would replace Henne — a veteran with 10 years in the NFL — with another experienced backup quarterback.
