Chiefs sign former Mizzou receiver L'Damian Washington

ST. JOSEPH

The Chiefs added a familiar name for Missouri fans to their roster Monday.

The team said it signed former Mizzou receiver La’Damian Washington to replace defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, who was waived Monday.

Washington, 24, is listed at 6 feet 4, 205 pounds. A two-year starter at Mizzou, he caught 50 passes for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns.

After going undrafted in 2014, Washington signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, but was released during training camp. He also spent time with the 49ers, Giants, Browns, Dolphins and Steelers.
