Over the weekend, word spread that former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Steven Nelson would visit the club on Monday. Head coach Andy Reid sounded optimistic about the meeting during his Monday afternoon Zoom press conference.
“He was a good player when he was here,” said Reid of Nelson. “He came out of Oregon State with the ability to return and play corner, and then he developed into a starting corner in the league and had a nice career for the last how many years.”
Kansas City selected the 31-year-old in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
