The Kansas City Chiefs have signed quarterback Matt McGloin and wide receiver Nelson Spruce, the team announced late Friday afternoon.
McGloin, 28, originally entered the league as a 2013 undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders, where he spent four seasons. He spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans last year.
If you remember, McGloin was the first quarterback to replace Derek Carr when he suffered a broken fibula in Week 16 of 2016. McGloin’s time as a Raiders starter was short-lived, however, as he suffered a shoulder injury in the game.
