According to Wednesday’s NFL transactions report, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed four free agents to Reserve/Future contracts for 2024: quarterback Ian Book, wide receiver Jacob Copeland, running back Hassan Hall and pass rusher Jordan Smith.
A Reserve/Future contract offers a non-guaranteed minimum salary that takes effect at the start of the new league year in March. These players are not eligible for the postseason — and whether they will remain with the team until training camp will be dependent on Kansas City’s other roster moves. At the season’s conclusion, the Chiefs will likely sign most of their practice squad to Reserve/Future contracts.
