Entering their Week 18 matchup against the Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs had little at stake — and Sunday afternoon, it showed on the field. The Chiefs suffered a rare shutout loss, falling 38-0 to the Broncos. It was the first time Kansas City had been held scoreless during head coach Andy Reid’s tenure.
Of course, the team already secured the AFC’s No. 1 postseason seed — and had multiple starters taking the week off, allowing younger players to gain valuable experience. While Reid certainly wasn’t expecting a 38-point blowout, he was able to identify some positives from the lopsided defeat.
