KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One of the surprise survivors when the Kansas City Chiefs made their final round of roster cuts was De'Anthony Thomas. His odds of making the roster didn't appear good after the Chiefs drafted a receiver and kick returner of similar size and speed in Tyreek Hill.
But Thomas made it to the regular season and it looked like the Chiefs had a plan for him.
"He's a unique individual," general manager John Dorsey said shortly after deciding on the roster. "When you have a coaching staff like our offensive coaching staff, you can kind of use him.
