Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen set to return to practice, will be eased back to action

Daniel Sorensen has returned to practice for the Chiefs, but his return to game action is not imminent.

First, Sorensen, who had been on injury reserve since the preseason with a left tibia plateau fracture, isn’t eligible to play until after the eighth week. That’s Sunday against Denver.

Sorensen could play the following week at Cleveland, but that may not happen.

“He’s ready to return to practice and eligible to play next week, however we have three weeks to practice with him and decide what to do, whether to activate him to the roster or return him to injured reserve” Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder said.
