One of the Chiefs’ injured safeties is returning to the field.
The Chiefs officially activated Daniel Sorensen from the Injured Reserve list on Tuesday morning. To make room for Sorensen, the Chiefs waived linebacker Nate Orchard.
The Chiefs can activate only one more player from IR the rest of the season.
Sorensen has been out all season as he recovered from a freak accident during training camp resulted in a left tibia plateau fracture.
He returned to practice two weeks ago on a limited basis.
