Gavin Escobar is the latest free agent visit to Arrowhead Stadium on Friday, as Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey is apparently open to adding a veteran tight end to the roster.
Escobar was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2013, but never became the sort of pass catcher that most NFL analysts envisioned when he was taken in the middle of the second round—within the first 50 selections. On draft day, Mike Mayock said, “”Maybe the best ball skills of any of them. This kid’s got great ball skills. He’s a gifted hands catcher.
