With the current state of secondary depth on the Kansas City Chiefs roster heading into 2018 training camp, we figured general manager Brett Veach may dip into the supplemental draft to acquire either Western Michigan cornerback Sam Beal or West Virginia cornerback Adonis Alexander.
The Chiefs didn’t acquire either player.
Veach had his shot at Beal, the supplemental draft’s top prospect, if he wanted him. No other team in the NFL submitted a second-round bid, and the Chiefs had two to play with thanks to the offseason trade of Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams.
