The Chiefs released inside linebackers Sam Barrington and Sio Moore on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction report.
The Barrington news was reported by The Star earlier in the day.
Barrington, 25, spent most of last season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. In 2014, he appeared in 14 games for the Packers, making seven starts, while recording 53 total tackles and a sack. He was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs after the 53-man roster deadline in early Septemner.
Moore, 26, was released by the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 4 despite racking up a team-high 30 tackles.
