Wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers’ short tenure as a Chief has come to an end, as the team announced Tuesday that it has released Rogers and offensive tackle Kelvin Palmer.
The Chiefs also officially recognized the signing of offensive tackle Tavon Rooks.
The moves leave the team one player short of the offseason roster max of 90 players.
Rogers, 23, was signed by the Chiefs to a reserve-futures deal in January as a low-risk, high-reward option to potentially boost a flagging receiving corps. He recently reached a plea agreement in which he will serve one day in jail and six months of probation for driving under the influence.
