Chiefs release Ramik Wilson

Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that general manager John Dorsey had claimed inside linebacker Sam Barrington off waivers from the Green Bay Packers. With that claim, the Chiefs had to release a man from the 53-man roster announced yesterday, and did so in surprising fashion.

To make room for LB Sam Barrington, Chiefs waived former starting LB Ramik Wilson, per source.

Wlison enjoyed a solid rookie season last year on special teams and even make a few contributions defensively when Josh Mauga missed time.
