The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve released LB Josh Mauga on Monday.
Mauga, 30, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada back in 2009. He spent five years in New York before signing a three-year, $8.25 million contract with the Chiefs back in 2015.
Unfortunately, Mauga missed the entire 2016 season after he suffered labral tear towards the end of the preseason.
In 2015, Mauga recorded 58 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and three pass defenses for the Chiefs.
