The Chiefs released outside linebacker Dezman Moses on Saturday to get down to the league-mandated 53-man roster limit prior to their season opener against the San Diego Chargers.
Teams were required to cut their rosters to the limit last Saturday, but the Chiefs have been allowed to carry 54 men on their roster since then because they were granted a roster exemption for safety Eric Berry, who skipped the first month of training camp after the team failed to sign him to a long-term deal.
Moses, 27, is listed at 6 feet 2 and 249 pounds.
