KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Six weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs were the NFL's last remaining undefeated team at 5-0 and among the favorites to represent the AFC in this season's Super Bowl.
They're now 6-4 and fighting to hold on to what seemed like an insurmountable lead in the AFC West.
The drop has been a precipitous one and the Chiefs realize there's only one way back to the way things were.
"That's how you play your way out of this," quarterback Alex Smith said. "Turn your focus on to the little things of your job.
