The Kansas City Chiefs began their 2024 campaign with a 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night.
The defensive backs were excellent.
The central talking point about Kansas City’s season entering the game is that it is strong everywhere — except at their second cornerback position, where preseason injuries prevented them from adequately identifying a starter.
If Thursday night were any indication, the Chiefs will be just fine.
As we expected entering the game, third-year cornerback Jaylen Watson earned the start opposite Trent McDuffie, with Joshua Williams appearing to mix in when McDuffie slid inside.
