The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have promoted wide receiver Gehrig Dieter to the active roster on Sunday afternoon, via their official Twitter account.
The move corresponds with the Chiefs’ decision to waive defensive back Josh Shaw on Saturday.
Dieter, 25, originally joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama in 2017 and was a member of the team’s practice squad. After not making the Chiefs’ 53-man roster earlier this season, Dieter was added back onto the practice squad for 2018. He spent time this offseason working out with Tyreek Hill.
