The Kansas City Chiefs have placed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the non-football injury list, which removes him from the active 53-man roster and means he will be out for at least the first four games of the season. Kansas City plays Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlanta and the Los Angeles Chargers during that span.
Edwards-Helaire, 25, missed multiple practices during training camp with the club citing an “illness.” Then, in late July and at the podium in early August, Edwards-Helaire opened up about what was bothering him.
