Chiefs make 2 more minor signings

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs reportedly brought back most players from their season-ending practice squad on reserve/future contracts. Such pacts become official at the start of the league year.

Generally, with no guaranteed salary, reserve/future contracts should best be seen as tryout opportunities while the team awaits unrestricted free agency and the NFL Draft.

Two more players who ended the season on Kansas City’s practice squad are reportedly staying, per the NFL’s official transactions reports from Wednesday and Thursday.

Tight end Anthony Firkser re-upped with the Chiefs on Wednesday. While far from the tight end news the fan base is awaiting, Firkser was elevated for three games after joining the Chiefs in November after being released by the New York Jets.
