According to the NFL’s official transactions report, the Kansas City Chiefs signed linebacker Cole Christiansen on Monday.

Christiansen originally signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Army in 2020. He spent the 2023 season on Kansas City’s practice squad. Following a season-ending injury to first-year linebacker Cam Jones early in the postseason, the Chiefs signed Christiansen to the active roster. Christiansen took 70% of Kansas City’s special teams snaps in Super Bowl LVIII.

The Chiefs tendered him a minimum salary contract as an exclusive rights free agent early in the offseason, but the tender was rescinded on May 3 as the team added undrafted free agents ahead of rookie minicamp.
