For the NFL’s Preseason Week 2, the Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the Detroit Lions on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Both teams lost their preseason openers. The Chiefs came into the game planning to play their starters through most (if not all) of the first half, while the Lions were expected to put only some of them on the field.
First quarter
The Chiefs started with possession after the Lions won the opening coin toss. The offense started from the 24-yard line.
The starting offense took on a reserve unit for Detroit, and faced third down quickly after two quick dropbacks went nowhere.
