Chiefs guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif’s contributions last season have earned him a bit of a raise.
The NFL Management Council has released each team’s performance-based pay distributions for the 2015 season, and Duvernay-Tardif topped all Chiefs with an additional payout of $253,540, the 23rd-highest amount in the league.
Duvernay-Tardif, who started 16 games in 2015, is the only Chief to crack the top 25 on the list. The 25-year-old logged the most offensive snaps (843) of any guard on the Chiefs, according to Pro Football Focus.
The program was implemented in 2002 as an additional way to reward players who outperform their contracts.
