Chiefs receiver Jeremy Maclin, star linebacker Justin Houston and defensive lineman Jaye Howard are all listed as “out” for this weekend’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Two of the three have played this season. But neither Maclin (groin injury) nor Howard have practiced this week. Rookie wideout Tyreek Hill, who has scored four touchdowns this season, stands to see more snaps this weekend with Maclin out.
One of the three, however — Houston — had been hopeful to return to action against Carolina. He hasn’t played a snap since suffering a knee injury against the Buffalo Bills last season but was activated from the NFL’s Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday.
