Chiefs have a jolly good time in 45-10 win over Lions in London

LONDON

The seats were red, and the signs adorning the field were, too. Even the curve of the sombrero-shaped upper bowl resembled Arrowhead Stadium.

And given the way the Chiefs played before a packed house at Wembley Stadium in a 45-10 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, it's safe to say players and coaches will have fond memories of the three-day stint in London as a part of the NFL's International Series.

And why wouldn't they? Their win over the Lions, 1-7, was thorough and complete, and the atmosphere wasn't bad either, as the overwhelming majority of the fans — empty seats were hard to find — were cheering for the Chiefs, the designated home team, as they improved to 3-5 while spending most of the game gyrating and celebrating and soaking in the love.
