KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Knile Davis recalled after practice on Friday the 2014 game in which both he and fellow running back Joe McKnight were stars for the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Chiefs minus injured running back Jamaal Charles, Davis ran for a career high 132 yards and McKnight caught a pair of touchdown passes in a 34-15 win against Miami.
"We were magic that day," Davis remembered.
Davis and the other Chiefs coaches and players were mourning the loss of their former teammate. McKnight was shot and killed in New Orleans on Thursday.
