LONDON – More than 4,000 miles from Kansas City, Jon Cartwright lifted his pint of London Pride Ale in a toast to the Kansas City Chiefs.
He wasn’t alone. Hundreds of Chiefs fans from all over the world – England, Spain, Canada, other parts of the United States and, of course, Kansas City – had come to party with their favorite NFL team.
And it was all being paid for by the Chiefs, who wanted to reward their ticket holders who were coming to London for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium.
So the Chiefs took over a pub, The Admiralty, in London’s Trafalgar Square.
