Chiefs extend quarterback Tyler Bray’s contract through 2017

It appears the Chiefs have seen enough from Tyler Bray to keep him around for a while.

The Chiefs have signed Bray to a two-year extension through 2017, a source confirmed to The Star on Thursday.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, who reported the news first, the extension is worth $1.925 million, though Bray could earn up to $4.425 million.

Yates also reported that the Chiefs agreed to pay Bray’s full salary of $510,000 for 2015 while he is on non-football injury list.

The Chiefs signed Bray, 23, as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2013.
