The Chiefs’ captains for Saturday night’s preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals (8 p.m. on KCTV, Ch. 5) are safety Eric Berry, running back Jamaal Charles, punter Dustin Colquitt, outside linebacker Justin Houston and quarterback Alex Smith.
Berry, of course, has made a triumphant return to football after defeating Hodgkin lymphoma this offseason. He shared a hug with his mother on the sideline before the Chiefs took the field.
