Allen Wright says shoes are the most popular accessories for players
Chiefs are packing approximately 200,000 pounds of product to St. Joseph
Training camp begins for rookies and quarterbacks on Tuesday
Chiefs head equipment manager Allen Wright has been with the team long enough — he’s entering his 33rd year with the club — to know that when it comes to training camp, you can never pack enough.
From the obvious, like pads, helmets, jerseys and pants, to the not-so-obvious, like weight-room equipment and the family pictures in players’ lockers, the Chiefs will soon be packing approximately 200,000 pounds of product into 10 semitrucks and hauling it all an hour north to Missouri Western.
