Chiefs draft 2017: OLB Ukeme Eligwe taken in fifth round

John Dorsey has turned in the latest pick for the Kansas City Chiefs and the team’s lone pick in the fifth round after initially having three in this frame. The Chiefs used No. 183 overall to select Ukeme Eligwe, a outside linebacker out of Georgia Southern.

Eligwe had 97 total tackles last season for Georgia Southern, 7.5 of them for a loss. He had 2.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble. He also had 3 passes defended.

Eligwe adds some competition at outside linebacker along with Dadi Nicolas, last year’s sixth round pick, to go with Frank Zombo and Victor Ochi.
