The Kansas City Chiefs have officially wrapped up their NFL Draft class with a final selection of Southern Cal safety Leon McQuay III at the end of the sixth round.
McQuay had 50 total tackles last year for the Trojans and 1 sack last season. He also had 2 interceptions last year and five in his career total in four years with USC. Has NFL bloodlines as his grandfather also played professional football. Has nice size at 6-2, 185 lbs.
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein writes:
McQuay isn’t an easy player to slot. He has the athleticism, ball skills and speed to play the high safety role, but his inconsistent field awareness is a concern.
