KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Since they hired John Dorsey as their general manager in 2013, the Kansas City Chiefs have preferred to head into the annual draft with a roster as fully stocked as possible at each position. That way, they aren’t forced into picking at any given position and are free to choose the best available player when their turns come around.
Their roster this year, with 75 players, is perhaps as solid as it has been in that regard at this time of the year, with the draft looming.
While that gives the Chiefs the freedom to go in many different directions with their 10 scheduled draft picks, it also means they’re unlikely to keep all 10 of those players.
