From the moment the National Football League announced last November that the Chiefs would be hosting the Detroit Lions this season in London, Chiefs president Mark Donovan and his staff have been working to figure out the best way to engage fans in the experience.
In the end, it came down to two things: what they could do for season-ticket holders and fans who were not able to go to London for the game, and what they could do for those who could.
The latter solution proved to be simple enough.
“We talked about so many different things we could do over there,” Donovan said.
