Chiefs' Charles has surgery, this time on left knee

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Monday.

The surgery was performed by noted orthopedic surgeon James Andrews.

Charles, who had been experiencing pain in both knees, was placed on the injured reserve list on Nov. 1. Andrews performed arthroscopic knee surgery on the right knee around that time.

"We anticipate the recovery will be fine,'' Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder said.
