For the final weekend of the NFL season, the (5-11) Los Angeles Chargers are hosting the (10-6) Kansas City Chiefs. Neither team has much to play for. The Chiefs are locked into the third seed of the AFC playoffs, while the Chargers are outside looking in for the postseason. Both teams will play without their starting quarterbacks — and are expected to depend on many rookies and other reserve players.
First quarter
The Chiefs started the game with possession after Los Angeles won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half.
