Chiefs camp: Offense looks good in passing game

After getting off to a hot start in training camp, the Kansas City Chiefs offense has been mired in a rut. Alex Smith has seen his interceptions go up (this is a good thing, hold on) and the chemistry between Smith and Jeremy Maclin has been slow in coming. The offensive line is also still being figured out, keeping the group from gelling.

On Friday, after a day off, the offense came out firing. While Smith was intercepted by Ron Parker, he had a much improved morning. Smith was able to hit Maclin on a cross route between defenders in zone coverage, before lofting a beautiful throw down the seam to Travis Kelce.
